Happy April…and May :) We have so many fun parts of this update! You will find new photos in the gallery tab and a video below where I give an update and also show you a day in our life. Our days have been full as we prepare to travel to the US in just 24 days! We have a long check list of medical, legal, and other obligations before we travel. We also took a few days to party and celebrate my birthday! In the midst of it all, the Lord has been gracious to us as we face highs and lows.
I talk more about some of the hardships and joys we’re facing these days in the vlog, but I will summarize here. As we are learning more about our town and how we can serve here, we have been facing hurdles we didn’t expect, but also had huge blessings just fall into our laps. The greatest blessing and joys we’ve been experiencing is summarized by the Easter lunch we hosted. On Easter, we had friends visiting from Zagreb (the city we lived in before), brothers from Brazil and Serbia, and a sister from Nepal. God was so gracious to bring together a group of believers to surround us and show us a glimpse of the way He is working here in our town.
We were also greatly encouraged this past weekend as a couple of sisters from Zagreb came to celebrate my birthday (Anna’s) with us! They spent three days with us and helped with cleaning and watching the kids so we could prepare to travel. The Lord has poured out His love for us through His people.

One of our greatest struggles over the last several weeks is that we have been surviving a really rough first trimester as we await a new baby. We are excited to welcome our fourth child this October! Unfortunately, this has maybe been the hardest first trimester I’ve had and we haven’t had as many conveniences or support that we’ve had in the past. I’m happy to say that the Lord has been near through it all, and that Jeremiah has been our own personal Superman around here.
Please pray that we will continue to have a healthy pregnancy and good health as we travel. We will be in the US for all of June and July- can’t wait to see many of you! We also ask that you would pray for Louella as she prepares to start first grade this fall. Please pray that she will get a good teacher who will be kind and empathetic. In Croatia, a class of students will have the same teacher from first to fifth grade…so we are really hoping for a good one! Pray for the group of believers in our town, that they would grow in faith and unity.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
