Weird title, I know, but hear me out…

A lot of people have asked recently how they could be praying for our family. Every time we shared about the new season ahead- our new semester that started this past week. Our transition back into language classes 5 days a week and the girls starting their new school has gone so incredibly well that we can’t thank God enough. We also want to say thank you to each of you. The song “Somebody’s Prayin’” has been on repeat in my head; Somebody’s prayin’, I can feel it, somebody’s prayin’ for me… Our souls have been so encouraged and uplifted in only a way that the Holy Spirit can do, and your prayers for us are almost tangible.  So thank you!

In addition to your prayers, we want to express a special thank you to so many of you who have supported us in other ways. I want to share a story from our dear friend that really speaks to the impact you make…

Our friend L is 20 years old. She is the first Christian in her family, and she came to faith by the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit in her life. Not a single person shared the gospel with her, she simply started reading the bible. We have been talking about her plans for the future, and after much prayer, consideration, and encouragement, she has decided to pursue seminary. While she prepares for seminary next fall, she works at our church as an administrator and coordinator, as well as countless volunteer hours in Kingdom Work.
She has been searching for a computer she could afford for her work and eventually seminary. The Lord placed it upon our hearts to reach out to one of you and see if your church would want to help us buy a computer for her. Not to our surprise, the immediate answer was a resounding yes!. Not only that, but two computers were bought so that another young student who is starting seminary this month could have an adequate computer for school, as well as his desire to serve as a missionary here in his home country.
As I sat out on our balcony and talked to L this week about the computer, she expressed that she is deeply touched that her faith family cares for her like mothers, brothers, fathers, and sisters, so much so that they would help meet her needs. She told me that this gift would serve as a witness to her earthly family about the love that the Father and his children have for her. L told me that she loves to serve, and I am so thankful that you would serve her too! So THANK YOU JBChurch.

We also want to say thank you to BBChurch for helping invest in a safety plan for our family. Living in an Eastern European city comes with different living and safety standards and concerns. Especially as we live in a tall apartment building, we wanted to have smoke masks on hand in the event of a fire in our building.

As for so many of you that give faithfully to your Southern Baptist Church and the Lottie Moon offering, your generosity and support is what makes our work here possible. Because of you, our girls are able to attend a school they love, we are receiving wonderful language instruction, and we don’t have to worry about the costs of prenatal care for this little baby on his way.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, we really appreciate you all. We are so excited to be well rested and ready to conquer this semester. We are ready to be able to speak to those around us in their heart language. We are ready to start learning to read and study the bible in Croatian with our church family. Because of the Holy Spirit and his work through you, this mission seems possible and we can’t believe we get to be part of it.

Much love,
Anna

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
